Een van de kerstfilms op de valreep van dit jaar wordt de meta-komedie Anaconda. Deze gaat over een paar vrienden die de film Anaconda uit 1997 opnieuw willen maken, maar uiteindelijk een gigantische, bloeddorstige slang in het echt tegenkomen.
Onlangs was de première en stromen de eerste reacties binnen op social media waarbij die van Chris Bumbray van Joblo meteen opvalt, want hij is overwegend negatief: “Ik vond hem echt niet leuk. Je zou verwachten dat zoveel getalenteerde castleden op zijn een minst een paar geslaagde en sterke grappen kunnen leveren, maar letterlijk alle humor valt plat”.
Mix van ‘Be Kind Rewind’, Strange Wilderness en het origineel
Anderen zijn positiever, sommigen zelfs laaiend enthousiast: “Benut niet zijn volle potentie, maar blijft leuk met te gekke scènes. Een van de grappigste films in lange tijd, absoluut een favoriet, een compleet gestoorde dosis zelfreferentiële humor”.
“Comedy’s van vroeger zijn weer helemaal terug. Absurd, hilarisch, campy, lief, ontroerend, waanzinnige chemie tussen Jack Black en Paul Rudd. Dé ultieme popcornfilm, geweldig vermaak, dubbelgelegen van het lachen”.
